Listen uses this browser's SpeechRecognition (Chrome also provides webkitSpeechRecognition). In Chrome, including Chrome on Android, the browser sends microphone audio and the page language to Google's servers and returns a transcript. This page does not keep the audio or the transcript. It does not promise that Google deletes them, keeps nothing, or processes the audio only on this device. Listening starts when you click Listen and the browser allows the microphone. Typed search works without the microphone. This page never speaks an answer.
